What a heartbreaking thing to hear for those young girls who finally had the courage to put on the hijab and for the countless girls who were building themselves up to. It hurt my heart but I'm not surprised. Muslims can be so judgemental and harsh with their words. It's just ego dressed as advice.
I completely understand what you mean. It’s heartbreaking to see people trying to do good, only to be met with judgment instead of encouragement. Words have so much power, and sometimes what’s meant as ‘advice’ can do more harm than good. I just hope that despite the negativity, those girls—and anyone else in a similar situation—find the strength to keep going. May Allah make it easy for all of us.
